National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month. The CDC Public Health Matters blog addresses the advances in Public Health preparedness over the last decade.

From new reporting and analysis programs to new systems in place for communication and public awareness, public health advances have progressed thanks to funding and education on numerous levels, mostly due to the 2001 attacks, including anthrax, and the various flu strains that have surged in recent years (bird flu, swine flu).
